American Red Cross launched a 3D Photo Ad campaign in partnership with OmniVirt to increase blood drive donations The American Red Cross 3D banner adds depth and perspective, activated by moving the phone, scrolling, and moving the cursor around.

American Red Cross converted its existing 2D assets into 3D by using a depth map, an overlay containing the CTA, and OmniVirt’s proprietary 3D ad rendering technology: 

The campaign saw 1.8X CTR and and 4X higher conversions  by slotting 3D ads into their existing media buy, as compared to 2D control ads.
