Visit Florida’s newest ad campaign features 3D Photo Ads. In partnership with OmniVirt, Visit Florida and its agency Miles Partnership’s latest campaign is bringing life back to the flat and two-dimensional banner ad.
The Visit Florida 3D banner adds depth and perspective, activated by moving the phone or scrolling.
AR and VR have been a hot topic in the past few years, but these new formats have traditionally required tremendous investment in new creative production. 3D Photo banner units leverage existing 2D assets to create an immersive 3D experience. The 3D Photo creative was generated by adding depth to the already existing banner ads.
The campaign is seeing 1.5X CTR and conversions by slotting 3D ads into their existing media buy.
Several months ago Facebook rolled out a new feature called 3D Photos, giving Facebook users with iPhone 7 Plus and above the ability to post “Portrait Mode” photos as 3D Photos in their feed. Marketers are jumping on this opportunity to stand out on Facebook, but the social media giant does not currently offer a tool to convert non-iPhone photos into 3D or the ability to promote these posts.
OmniVirt’s recent roll-out of its 3D Photo Banner platform provides marketers with the ability to convert their existing banners into 3D Photo Banners. The ads can be served using DSPs like DV360, The Trade Desk, Centro’s Basis, MediaMath, and more.
